When Derek Jeter ties the knot with Hannah Davis, there may be one big omission to the guest list.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman has had his battles with the shortstop, and that very well may keep Jeter from inviting him to the wedding.

The issues stem from when Jeter and Cashman were negotiating a new contract for the captain in 2011 and the general manager told the shortstop that he flat out would prefer having Troy Tulowitzki in the middle of his infield than the five-time World Series champion.
The two sides eventually agreed on a three-year, $51 million deal, but it's believed that the impasse and harsh words put a strain on their relationship. Cashman has never apologized for his approach to handling business, which may have included the GM saying he wasn't preparing to reward Jeter for anything he did in the past.

Despite the rumored rift between the two, Cashman believes they're on solid ground.
"I've got a good relationship with Derek, at least I think I do," Cashman told the Boston Globe as he slept on the streets last week to raise awareness for homeless children. "I have no regrets on being honest and direct when asked to be."
While Cashman believes his relationship with the captain is fine, there are reports that their camaraderie wasn't quite the same after the GM made those comments four years ago, according to NJ.com. This likely means that Jeter, who proposed to Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Hannah Davis in October, won't be inviting his old boss to his wedding.
Jeter retired from baseball after 2014 and the Yankees first season without him included their first playoff appearance in three years, but they were quickly ousted by the Astros in the American League Wild Card Game.
The 14-time All-Star hung up his cleats and then decided to finally settle down in his personal life after dating a who's who of beautiful women.
When he ties the knot with Davis, it's unlikely Cashman will be there to witness it.
