Kevin Owens could make himself into the next mega WWE Superstar if he gets his chance to do battle with "The Beast."
There are rumors circulating that the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion may take on Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32, according to Cageside Seats. The big event emanates from AT&T Stadium in Texas on April 3, 2016.

Like all speculation this far from the "Show of Shows," it should merely be taken as a rumor. If Owens does get a chance to go up against Paul Heyman's client, it would be a match for the ages and could skyrocket Owens into becoming the next huge WWE Superstar.
The WWE roster is floundering right now with injuries to guys like Randy Orton, Cesaro and former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. It also doesn't help that John Cena, The Undertaker and Lesnar are all on hiatus.

What the WWE is quickly learning is that while it has a decent midcard, it hasn't found that next-level Superstar of the future.
Though most of its top-tier talent will return by the time WrestleMania rolls around, it's never too early to try and find a breakout star. Owens is a very unlikely candidate due to his look, but he can tell great stories in the ring and has a move set that could believably be a threat to Lesnar.
Furthermore, Owens already showed that he can hang with the best of them when he had an outstanding rivalry with Cena earlier this year in what became a Feud of the Year contender for 2015. Given 20-30 minutes in the ring with Lesnar could catapult Owens back into the upper echelon of WWE talent.
While Vince McMahon and WWE producer Kevin Dunn may have qualms about the 6-foot, 266 pound Owens' build, he's been overcoming the odds throughout his career. The internet darling was a sensation on the Indy circuit for years and it was a shock when the WWE took a chance on him and signed him to work in NXT.
Owens, 31, turned many heads in what is essentially the WWE's minor league system, eventually earning enough trust to win the NXT Championship before being brought up onto the main roster. Owens shined initially during his feud with Cena, but was quickly pushed to the background until winning the Intercontinental Championship at Night of Champions in September.
If Owens gets a chance to go up against arguably the WWE's top draw, it would not only be a must-see contest, but it could give the WWE a glimpse of its true next big thing.
