There were a lot of changes in the WWE recently, highlighted of course by the surprise win by Roman Reigns on WWE Raw over Sheamus, which (finally) made him the WWE’s new World Heavyweight Champion.
It wasn’t an easy route for Reigns, but apparently it was all planned dating back to the night before at WWE TLC. Reigns went berserk and Triple H’s beating was simply the spark for bigger things.

WWE CEO Vince McMahon returned the following night on WWE Raw and technically set the stage for the Roman Reigns Era. He was his usual self, trying to delay the coronation along with the League of Nations (Alberto Del Rio and Rusev), who got in shots on the Big Dog.
To cut it short, Reigns defied the odds and now the he sits atop the WWE.

Actually it wasn’t just Reigns but Dean Ambrose as well. Ambrose won the title the night after at WWE TLC with a big win over Kevin Owens. So as it turns out, two former Shield members and crowd favorites are ending the year wearing two of the WWE’s prestigious belts, which will hopefully do the company a lot of good as it tries to improve its sliding ratings.
But what does this mean for the League of Nations?
Cageside Seats hints that the stable is likely to be disbanded soon. Apparently the heel-based group was not doing that well, though anything can still happen. But if it is to continue, there may be a need to find a new member. There was a third member conspicuously absent from the mix -- King (Wade) Barrett.
Barrett is nursing an injury (nerve damage in his neck), though Wrestlezone reports it is not that serious.
Moving forward, the intention of the faction was to make it hard for Reigns. Of course that could still hold true, though it would take a lot of work to make the Sheamus-led stable last for long.
