Admittedly, the image captured was the perfect storm. There’s no telling what was said between the two, but it’s safe to say it was far more innocent than what was depicted.
Eventually, Messi came out on Monday as the true winner. Not only did Antonella leave the ceremony with him, but a fifth Ballon d’Or followed suit.
