Ndamukong Suh Hit [VIDEO] On Brandon Weeden Reviewed By The League: Another Fine Coming?

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh just doled out $100,000 to the league when his appeal of a fine for a Week 1 hit was denied, and it now seems like he may be getting ready to empty out his pockets some more due to a different hit. The NFL is looking into a hit that Suh laid on Cleveland Browns' quarterback Brandon Weeden Sunday, which could land the repeat offender in some more hot water.

ESPN reports that vice president of officiating Dean Blandino said on a behind-the-scenes process looking into how the league decides fines, that a hit which Suh put on Weeden this past Sunday is under review due to Suh lowering his head on the hit to Weeden.

ESPN reports that Suh is subject to another potential fine but will not be suspended, despite the fact that he is a repeat offender and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has been looking to make an example out of repeat offenders in an attempt to make the game safer.

"No. 90 hit the quarterback, lowered his head, that was not called," Blandino explained on the video, according to ESPN. "Potential helmet to the body."

A video of Blandino explaining the hit can be viewed here.

Suh, who has racked up six fines and two suspensions throughout his career, was most recently fined the hefty $100,000 levy for his illegal block from behind on Minnesota Vikings center John Sullivan where Suh took out his knees. Suh appealed the fine but it was denied as the defensive tackle had to pay it.

The fine for Suh was unprecedented for an on-field incident, but furthered Goodell's agenda to stop such violent plays from taking place on the football field. Still, Suh has vowed not to change his style of play.

"My play speaks for itself," Suh said after he was fined per USA Today Sports. "I don't change. I'm going to always play tough, hard. That's the way I was brought up at Nebraska, where I really learned football from the (Bo) Pelinis and that staff, and I'm going to continue to play hard, play blue-collar football."

Even though there was no flag for the hit on Weeden, Suh will still most likely be fined, ESPN reports.

The Lions went to 4-2 on the season by defeating the Browns 31-17 on Sunday, and look ahead to a matchup this Sunday against another quarterback in which Suh has received a fine for hitting: Andy Dalton of the Cincinnati Bengals. Along with Dalton, Suh has been fined for hitting three other quarterbacks in Jay Cutler, Matt Schaub and Jake Delhomme.

Suh has had a solid defensive year, which includes 2.5 sacks and 15 tackles through six games this season.

Suh won't miss any game time, which will be a relief to the Lions, but he'll most likely end up losing some more of his hard earned money as he refuses to clean up his game.
