Manny Pacquiao Next Fight News: Redemption Against Juan Manuel Marquez Would Have Been Perfect [VIDEO]

For any fighter who is on the verge (allegedly) of ending his career, nothing would be better than to settle an old score.

Manny Pacquiao will be entering in what he claims to be his last fight against Timothy Bradley Jr. this Apr. 9 in Las Vegas, their third showdown.

In the eyes of many, it wasn’t exactly something that comes with excitement. Many feel that Pacquiao will win this one (yet again), seeing that he technically overwhelmed Bradley Jr. twice. The first one was of course a controversial loss but the ones who saw it say otherwise.

Aside from Bradley, there were other names in the mix such as Amir Khan, Terence Crawford and Adrien Broner. Mayweather was also on the list, but that was a long shot since he is already retired.

Juan Manuel Marquez was mentioned at first, but never prospered. According to Pacquiao, that was one fight he would have loved to happen so that he could redeem himself from that knockout loss he receved back in 2012.

Marquez has not fought since 2014. Marquez is plagued by knee injuries, though he claims that he hasn’t officially retired. But just the same, 'El Dinamita' is not in any way interested for a fifth showdown with the Filipino boxer.

Pacquiao just brushed it off and told folks to just let it go.

“Let him enjoy what he did to me. Give him credit,” Pacquiao said via Boxingscene.com.

For trainer Freddie Roach, he believes Marquez feels fulfilled at how that match ended.

“He likes the way that last one ended, I think, too much, of course it is the reason a fifth fight hasn’t happened,” added Roach.

The last time Marquez was in boxing headlines was for a possible fight with Miguel Cotto per Boxing 24 News. To date, nothing has prospered, leading many to believe that the Mexican brawler will likely end up retiring.
