Green Bay Packers Rumors: Eddie Lacy Offered Personal Training From P90X Creator, Should Explore His Options [VIDEO]

Packers running back Eddie Lacy was a massive disappointment in 2015, especially since Green Bay needed him even more with wide receiver Jordy Nelson out for the season. Once the season ended, Packers coach Mike McCarthy admitted that he was unhappy with Lacy’s conditioning.

"Eddie Lacy, he's got a lot of work to do. His offseason last year was not good enough, and he never recovered from it," McCarthy said. "He cannot play at the weight he was at this year."

Eddie Lacy Is A Major 2016 Fantasy Sleeper

That’s why Tony Horton, fitness guru and P90X founder, has offered to step in. "The Packers will get him ready for the season. My job will be to get the weight off and help him eat better,” Horton, who has previously worked with ex-Ravens LB Ray Lewis, said.

Lacy would be wise to take him up on the offer, unless other gurus get in the game and give him options. Here are some other people – and programs – who may get Lacy’s attention.

Packers' Hail Mary Game One Of the Best NFL Games Of The Year

Shaun T, Hip Hop Abs

P90X is a grind man! Lacy may want to get hooked up with Shaun T, and have a little fun with his workouts. He’ll also develop sick moves for when he hits the town with girlfriend Jasmine Roussell (thanks PlayerWives.com). Just a thought, Mr. Lacy. Just a thought.

Jillian Michaels, 30-Day Shred

Perhaps Lacy is not responsive to Shaun T’s positive reinforcement. Maybe he needs a fireball like Jillian Michaels to give him a swift kick in the a**. She will not take any junk, and she might kill him if she caught him sneaking off-plan snacks when she isn’t around. I wouldn’t mess with her. Her 30-Day Shred routine may work wonders for his elusiveness.

Diamond Dallas Page, DDP Yoga

Former WCW and WWE superstar Diamond Dallas Page has a new, and very successful business, with DDP Yoga. This is no less challenging, but probably a lot less intense than these workout DVDs are. DDP Yoga is about increasing agility (Lacy needs that), and balance while also losing weight. Sounds pretty good.

So far Horton's the only one who has stepped up though, so Lacy better jump on it. He needs the help.
