"Lamar Odom is working out and looks really good," according to Us Weekly.
The magazine reports Odom was spotted at popular Glendale, Calif. Armenian eatery Gavar Cuisine on Oct. 15, where Khloe Kardashian's husband spent some five hours enjoying a leisurely lunch with several friends.
"He is trying to show Khloe that he's changing and he wants to make it work," a source told Us Weekly, adding that Odom was wearing his wedding ring and appears "happy again." At one point during the gathering, the magazine adds Odom, casually dressed in a white shirt and sweats, was even observed cuddling a baby belonging to one of his companions.
"He is working out; it's so nice to see him getting better," th source added.
It's been a summer of discontent for Odom, who has long been dogged by widespread allegations of hardcore drug use and infidelity. At least three women have emerged this summer to openly claim they have engaged in longtime affairs with the 33-year-old NBA veteran.
Us Weekly reported that during a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians -- filmed prior to the couple's separation -- Khloe expressed her concerns about her husband's well-being.
"There are a lot of emotional issues I think that Lamar has," she told younger sister Kylie. "I do want to help or cater to Lamar, but also, there is only so much anyone can take. Lamar is a very depressed person, which is sad but understandable with everything he has been through in his life."
