Adrien Broner Vs. Danny Garcia? 'Swift' Without Opponent After Beating Lucas Matthysse, 'Problem' Next After Marcos Maidana? [VIDEO]

After Danny Garcia took care of business against Lucas Matthysse on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s victory over Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, many suspected he would be next in line for a chance to dethrone "Money."

The Money Team appears to be looking in other directions, however, specifically fast-handed British boxer Amir Khan. Despite having a knockout victory over Khan, Garcia lacks the visually entertaining style and large fan base that is surely appealing to Floyd's financial senses.

Garcia's cleaned out the 140-lb. division, and is likely headed up. A big-money fight could still await him there--if Adrien "The Problem" Broner can top Marcos Maidana on December 14th. Several months ago, Broner was recorded on camera saying he would fight Garcia, whom he considers a friend, if he still had that "green belt."

The green belt refers to the WBC title, which Garcia retained in his unanimous decision triumph over Matthysse. A bout between Garcia and Broner could have massive appeal, pitting two combatants on the rise in the sport with spotless win-loss records.

It would also incite a war of words between one of boxing's most notorious heels in Broner, against possibly the sport's most inflammatory trainer Angel Garcia, Danny's father.

Several months ago, when told that Broner had called him out Garcia appeared willing to take the challenge. "I got this," Garcia said. "I'm too big for him."

Broner said his friendship with Garcia wouldn't hinder his ability to punch with bad intentions in the ring if they ever faced off. "If he got the green belt...if he still got it, then I have to have it," Broner said.

At the end of the day it's a business," Broner continued. "We'll be friends after the fight, if we fight. But I'm pretty sure he'll make the best decision for his career."
