More information about the night in which Clippers star Blake Griffin broke his shooting hand punching Matias Testi, a friend and employee of the Clippers, is coming out. It appears some back-and-forth between Griffin and Testi got out of hand, per The Los Angeles Times.
It’s known that center DeAndre Jordan, as well as Joe Resendez, the team's assistant athletic trainer and travel manager were in attendance. It was also reported that Griffin had been drinking prior to punching Testi, although that report from TMZ was disputed by Clippers coach Doc Rivers. So what could Testi have said to make Griffin fly off the handle so wildly?

He Called Griffin Soft for Flopping So Much
The Clippers take a lot of head for whining to the officials when they don’t get their way, but even more frustrating for fans is when they strive for Academy awards when they flop. Chris Paul is a noted flop artist, but if he’s Yoda, then Blake Griffin is Luke Skywalker.
You see this? He’s way too big to be getting pushed around like that. Testi is a much smaller man, but words can make even giants feel small. Testi may have called him out for these antics, and Griffin didn’t care for it.
Griffin Missed His Chance To Shoot Some “Hoopes”
Maybe, just maybe, Testi got on Griffin for not capitalizing on an offer from swimsuit model Samantha Hoopes?
“I think he’s cute, he’s a good player, I think he’s a good package,” Hoopes said. Since giving that October interview, there’s been radio silence on whether or not they ever hooked up. Hoopes probably doesn’t wait long for guys to make their move, so Griffin’s probably getting ragged on a little for that air ball.
