Virginia Tech Athlete Murder: Middle School Victim Was A Cancer, MRSA Survivor Who Was Bullied [VIDEO]

An 18-year-old track and field athlete for Virginia Tech, David Eisenhauer, has been arrested in connection with the murder of 13-year-old Nicole Lovell. Eisenhauer, who was arrested Saturday, was a star runner in high school winning three state championships, per Deadspin.

Since his arrest, police have also arrested Natalie Keepers, a 19-year-old Virginia Tech student, who is accused of aiding Eisenhauer in disposing of Lovell’s body, according to The Roanoke Times. Eisenhauer “was acquainted” with Lovell according to reports, but the specifics of their relationship, as well as the connection between Eisenhauer and Keepers, is unclear.

Lovell’s short life was never easy, her mother, Tammy Weeks, told Roanoke Times. Lovell not only survived a bout with MRSA, and a liver transplant, she had also battled lymphoma at the age of five. “God got her through all that, and she fought through all that, and he took her life,” she said. “That evil b------ took her life,” Weeks said.

On top of that, Weeks said Lovell was bullied in school on social media, with some of it related to her early-life trials.

“She was a typical student,” Weeks said about her daughter. “She didn’t like going to school because she was bullied. She was telling me that girls were saying she was fat and talking about her scars from her transplant. We discussed it with teachers, but it got worse. It got so bad I wouldn’t send her. They can’t control those kids on social media.”

The police say that Eisenhauer and Lovell “were acquainted,” but have not elaborated further. Weeks said Lovell met Eisenhauer on “some off-the-wall” website.
