Cincinnati Bengals Rumors: Adam 'Pacman' Jones & Other Players Team Must Cut To Succeed In 2016 [VIDEO]

The Bengals have an exit strategy at their disposal in regard to Adam "Pacman" Jones, but the buck shouldn't stop with him.

Below are three players the team should sever ties with in 2016.

Katherine Webb Should Avoid Twitter

Adam 'Pacman' Jones

The Bengals were fortunate enough to sign Jones to a three-year, $5.3 million contract in 2013. They just won't be fortunate enough to find a similar bargain in 2016.

Jones is an unrestricted free agent, and while he's expressed his love for Cincinnati, he isn't exactly in a rush to watch his pockets thin out any further.

"Obviously if things are right, I'll stay here," he said in January, per Fox Sports. "If not, I have to do what I have to do. I still have to take care of my family and the window of contracts is only so small.

"I'll be smart and wise of whatever the decision is and wherever I go."

The Bengals have to be wise to not overpay for a player that ultimately cost them their first playoff victory in 25 years.

Leon Hall

Leon Hall has been a cornerstone of the Bengals defense since he was drafted No. 18 overall in 2007, he's just on the wrong side of 30 and no longer worthy of a significant price tag.

Restructuring his contract is the logical scenario, but Cincinnati can recoup $7.8 million next year by releasing him.

Cedric Peerman

A special teams contributor, Cedric Peerman sees his hit against the salary cap rise from $920,000 to $1.2 million in 2016. Only $125,000 of that, however, is in dead money.

There's over $1 million to be saved by finding a younger, cheaper replacement.
