Bryce Harper, star outfielder for MLB’s Washington Nationals, may already be the best player in baseball. He was spotted at the Super Bowl hanging with lots of famous faces, but the one who caught the most attention was WNBA star Elena Delle Donne.

Before rumors get too out of control, it should be known that Harper does have a girlfriend. Her name is Kayla Varner, and in a message from Harper to his fans on Twitter, The Washington Post picked up on a subtle shout-out to her.

The reference could be a nod to Varner’s Instagram profile.
Bryce Harper To The Yankees Could Be Inevitable
With all that out of the way, a sports science laboratory with all the tools and money in the world might not create a better athlete than the would-be spawn of Harper and Delle Donne.
Harper was historically fantastic in 2015, finally staying healthy for most of the year. He won the NL MVP award, posted a slash line of .330/.460/.649 with 42 home runs, 99 RBI, and 118 runs scored. And he played in 153 games, a career-high and up from his previous best 139 games as a rookie. And he might not be more dominant than Delle Donne is.
Delle Donne is a forward for the WNBA’s Chicago Sky, entering her fourth year in the league. Last season she scored WNBA-best 23.4 points a night, along with 8.4 rebounds. She led the entire league in total points scored (725), free throw percentage (95.0 percent), and PER (32.7). Not only is she a great player, she could probably teach Harper a bit about leadership, so he could avoid ugly incidents like this one with closer Jonathan Papelbon.
Delle Donne’s personal life is more private than Harper’s is, but maybe Varner would look the other way while the greatest athlete ever is created? It would be for science.
