Kanye West may be perceived as crazy, but he is also a vital part of the Kardashian family.
The man behind "Life of Pablo" was a key factor in Lamar Odom's journey back to health, according to the ex-NBA star's wife, Khloe Kardashian.

When Odom was in a comatose state following his near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel, West, the husband of Kim Kardashian, stepped up to help in any way he could.
"Kanye was really instrumental in Lamar getting better," Khloe told 'Hollywood Today Live' on Tuesday. "Kanye would come to the hospital and play his album for Lamar."

Though Lamar couldn't speak, Khloe revealed he later discussed his appreciation of West. The rapper was also an active participant in Odom continuing his miraculous recovery by flying cross-country to New York City for West's Yeezy Season 3 fashion show.
"When he was finally able to speak he would say, 'Man, Kanye really helped me, I love that he would come,'" Khloe revealed.
Khloe admitted that she had reservations about Odom coming to New York, but felt at ease once the doctors cleared him to do so. The reality star has been a great help in the former Lakers star's recovery as well, supporting him emotionally and financially after postponing their divorce following his incident.
Much like West gets a bad rap from people for being crazy, the Kardashians aren't always held in the greatest light. While the Klan has done a lot of questionable things, they definitely know how to stick together.
As for a potential romantic rekindling between her and Odom, Kardashian certainly hasn't ruled it out. A reunion is all the more possible now that the "Kocktails with Khloe" star has parted ways with James Harden, but Odom apparently was never threatened.
"Lamar knew all along that Khloe's relationship with James would never last," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "He knew it, he knew it, he knew it. James was never a threat to Lamar. James was a good time boy and fun for Khloe to party with, but when it comes to love and matters of the heart he didn't stand a chance."
