Texas A&M comes into the game off of a 45-41 defeat at the hands of Auburn which saw quarterback Johnny Manziel leave the game with a shoulder injury after hitting the ground following being tackled by Tigers defenders. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner is listed as questionable, and despite throwing two interceptions last week he also threw for 454 yards and four touchdowns.

Manziel is 159-for-217 (73.3%) on the season for 2,289 yards with 18 touchdowns and seven picks.

The Aggies had a rough defensive game last week and they have allowed 494.4 yards per game this season, which ranks them the sixth worst nationally. Some of the struggles can be attributed to inexperience as freshman and sophomores combined for five defensive starters against Auburn.

"There's something to that, but that's what we are here for as coaches," defensive coordinator Mark Snyder told ESPN. "That's our job. If you don't have that leadership on the field, you have to create that. We have to lead the way as coaches."

Vanderbilt, meanwhile, is riding high off of a win last week after defeating then-No. 15 Georgia 31-27 last week and scoring 17 unanswered points.

"When you take over a program like we did ... every win has been unbelievably significant to us and every win should be significant to our fan base and to our community and to our alumni because it's an opportunity," coach James Franklin said per ESPN.

Vanderbilt had some quarterback issues as well as Austyn Carta-Samuels left the game in the second with a leg injury and didn't return. On the season, he is 129-for-197 (65.5%) for 1,672 yards with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Patton Robinette took over and went 9-for-15 for 117 yards with a pick, but also rushed for a score. He'll start this week.

Texas A&M will hope that it can put a loss behind it and that Manziel can play, while Vanderbilt will look to ride its momentum to another win when these teams square off today
