Johnny Manziel Rumors: Johnny Football Unlikely To Learn Lesson After Being Cut By Browns [VIDEO]

The Browns simply couldn't wait any longer. Cleveland finally cut ties with embattled quarterback Johnny Manziel.

Manziel, 23, appeared in 14 games over two seasons with the Browns, but he has been nothing but trouble off the field. Johnny Football has been involved in countless incidents, most of which involved alcohol.

It appeared he turned a corner prior to last season when he checked himself into alcohol rehab, seemingly as a way to get over his demons. Since then, he has allegedly been involved in two domestic incidents with ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley, the last of which reportedly hindered her ability to hear out of her left ear.

He also showed up to a Browns practice drunk late in the season, was caught partying in Las Vegas in disguise and even boozed it up during the team's bye week, netting him a two-game suspension after he tried to lie and say the video was old.

With new head coach Hue Jackson in the fold, it became clear the team was set to distance itself from Manziel once the new league year began Wednesday, but it actually waited a couple of extra days.

The Browns made it official on Friday, cutting the troubled quarterback, and with his legal matter over the Crowley incident set to go to a grand jury, it's unlikely Manziel will latch on with another NFL team.

The Cowboys and a few other teams were linked to the former Heisman Trophy winner, but it would be very dangerous for an NFL team to make him an offer at this stage.

Unfortunately, it's unlikely Manziel will learn from his transgressions. The now former quarterback has been clubbing for four straight nights, with his most recent stop being at the Hyde Lounge in Los Angeles on Thursday, according to TMZ.

Though Manziel wasn't spotted with a drink on this particular night -- at least by TMZ -- he has clearly been boozing and partying it up despite his personal and professional life crumbling before him. Manziel may be out of the NFL barring a second chance from another team, but he can't seem to get out of his own way.

Until he gets rid of his demons and proves he's learned his lesson, his potential will continue to go unfilled.

The former 22nd overall pick finishes his two-year stint with the Browns with 1,675 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Manziel also rushed for 259 yards and one score.
