Rafael Nadal is not about to be lumped together with Maria Sharapova.
The 14-time men's Grand Slam champion may sue a French official who claimed that Nadal's seven-month layoff in 2012 was due to a failed drug test.
"Former French secretary of sport Roselyne Bachelot told French TV show 'Le Grand 8' this week that Nadal's 7-month layoff from tennis in 2012 was due to a positive drug test," Larry Brown Sports reported.
Toni Nadal, Rafa's uncle and coach, told Yahoo Sports UK, that he was shocked to hear anyone confuse the former world's No. 1 of drug use but the comments coming from a French official were especially offensive.

"I don't know what motives this lady has in saying this, but it's obvious that she does not know tennis or the sport world," Toni Nadal said
"Rafa's lawyer is working to take all possible measures and with maximum force. In this world, instead of proving the guilt of a person, you have to prove your innocence."
Nadal professed his innocence against doping allegations earlier this week at a news conference when he was asked questions about Maria Sharapova.
"I am a completely clean guy," Nadal said, according to the BBC.com.
"I have never had the temptation of doing something wrong," the 14-time Grand Slam champion said. "I believe in the sport and the values of the sport."
Toni Nadal went into attack mode.
"This woman is a fool. Rafa goes through many [doping] controls every year even though he has done nothing and will do nothing wrong, Nadal's coach said, according to Yahoo Sports UK. "He believes in a clean sport.
"Having made the case of Sharapova public, why don't they do the same with him if they are so sure? It's strange."
Actually, Sharapova made her own case public, but you get the hint that Camp Nadal is pretty angry.
