Today at 4:05 p.m. ET, the New York Jets (4-3) and Cincinnati Bengals (5-2) duke it out live from Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. The game can be live streamed here. New York fans can hear all the action on 98.7 WEPN, while Bengals can do the same on ESPN 1530 AM.
The Jets are looking to win back-to-back games for the first time this season coming off of a 30-27 overtime victory over the New England Patriots while the AFC North-leading Bengals look to win their third straight game following a victory over the Detroit Lions by a 27-24 score in Week 7.
Quarterback Andy Dalton keeps finding ways to win for Cincinnati, while going 164-for-249 (65.9%) for 1,924 yards with 11 touchdowns and six interceptions.
"These last couple have come down to the end and we're finding ways to win the game," Dalton said per ESPN. "For us, it's big. We're 5-2 now and it sets us up nice for where we want to go."
One of Dalton's favorite targets has been A.J. Green, who has 43 receptions for 619 yards with five touchdowns thus far this season. Dalton has plenty of targets along with Green including Marvin Jones (three touchdowns), Giovani Bernard (two) and Tyler Eifert (one).
The Jets look to rookie quarterback Geno Smith who had a productive game in New England last week while throwing for 233 yards with one touchdown and going 17-for-33 en route to the Jets grabbing an overtime win over their AFC rivals with a 42-yard game-winning field goal by Nick Folk.
On the season, Smith is 130-for-223 (58.3%) for 1,723 yards with eight touchdowns and an alarming 11 interceptions.
"Just keep making strides," coach Rex Ryan told ESPN when asked what he'd like to see from Smith moving forward. "I think you see it on the practice field. I think he's comfortable with our system. I think it's now his system."
Smith who will be without receiver Santonio Holmes (10 receptions for 243 yards and a touchdown in four games) due to a hamstring injury, and says he hopes to continue to keep his composure late in games.
"I definitely want to continue to play consistently, and that's something I have been working extremely hard at," Smith said via ESPN. "I've been beating myself over it because I know with that consistency at the quarterback (position), it usually leads to success with the team."
The Jets will look to win back-to-back games for the first time this season while the Bengals hope to extend their winning streak to three games in a row when these two teams take the field this afternoon.
