Never mind the fact that the last two Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks were family men.
At his Denver Broncos introductory news conference Tuesday, Mark Sanchez accentuated his positives as he looks to replace future Hall of Famer and Super Bowl 50-winning quarterback Peyton Manning.

Sanchez believes he has an advantage over Manning, as well as New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in taking the field, according to Pro Football Talk.
"I'm not married," Sanchez said. "I don't have a girlfriend. I don't have kids. I just want to play ball and I want to win. I really want to win, and I'm so lucky to be in a spot like this. Every waking moment, that's all I'm thinking about. What an opportunity this is. I want to win and I want to play here."

Unless Sanchez has concrete evidence about the correlation between quarterbacks with families and/or girlfriends, his argument seems a bit clumsy.
If he was trying to point out that all his focus would be on the Broncos, that's one thing, but single guys have a reputation of trying to find a girlfriend. And they usually do that by participating in the nightlife scene.
Now, Sanchez is a seven-year NFL veteran, so it's possible that he has no interest in the life of a typical bachelor with money, but having a family or significant other doesn't seem to be a black mark to being a successful quarterback.
Sanchez's speech otherwise was arguably uplifting to Broncos fans who saw both Denver quarterbacks from 2015 move on in Manning and Brock Osweiler.
"Sanchez sounded like a guy who plans to be something more than a small, flightless bird in the hand for the Broncos," Pro Football Talk added. "Instead, Sanchez sees the opportunity as a way to turn his career around after seven seasons with the Jets and Eagles.
"All that experience, I feel like that can only help you as you move on in your career, and going into my eighth year, I'm battle tested," Sanchez said. "I've been through the fire. I've been in some tough media markets. I've played in some great games. I've seen the highs and the lows of this league. I'm just eager to get started."
