Carrie Underwood Husband: Country Star Beams With Pride Over Mike Fisher's 1,000th Game Celebration [VIDEO]

Carrie Underwood was beaming with pride as her husband was honored for reaching a huge milestone in the NHL.

Mike Fisher played his 1,000th game with the Predators on March 3, a 5-4 overtime loss against the Devils in which he was kept off the scoresheet. Prior to Nashville's game against Los Angeles on Monday, a 5-2 victory for the Predators, Fisher was honored with a special ceremony to commemorate the occasion.

After the celebration, Underwood discussed what it was like to be there as her husband was honored.

"It's very special for our family to get to be here for Mike," Underwood told NHL.com. "He's there for me and for us as much as he possibly can be with his busy schedule and it's nice to be able to return the favor."

Fisher, 35, spent the bulk of his career with the Senators, but has been with the Predators for the last six seasons. Underwood was also in attendance for his 1,000th game on March 3.

The Predators center has now taken part in 1,008 games and has 257 goals, 285 assists and 542 points in his career. Fisher scored his 12th goal of the season Monday night shortly after being honored.

Underwood said he deserves plenty of accolades due to all of the effort he puts in.

"Mike works hard at everything he does," she said. "I've seen how he trains during the season and how dedicated he is and what he does [in the] offseason as well. And I'm just proud of him, he's the hardest-working person that I think I know. He definitely deserves to make it to this benchmark and here's to many, many more games."

Aside from his personal milestones, Fisher and the Predators are also doing just fine this season as a group. Nashville owns a 37-23-13 record (87 points) and has a seven-point cushion over Colorado (80) for the top Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.

The Predators are also just four points behind the Blackhawks (91) for the third and final automatic playoff spot in the Central Division.

After the game, Underwood and Fisher enjoyed what looked to be a delicious celebration:
