Dallas Cowboys, Johnny Manziel Rumors: Jerry Jones Unwilling To Sign Embattled QB [VIDEO]

After hitting rock bottom, Johnny Football won't find a new home in Dallas.

The embattled quarterback, who was cut from the Browns last month, has partied nonstop during and after his NFL career.

Though Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is enthralled by the former Heisman Trophy winner, it appears he won't end up under center for Dallas as Tony Romo's potential successor.

"No, there's no place for Manziel," Jones' billionaire friend T. Boone Pickens told TMZ. "He's through with football. I had dinner with Jones the other night and he said he's not on their list."

Pickens went on to say that Jones specifically said Manziel isn't under consideration. He also called it a "tough year" for the Cowboys, who dealt with big injuries and finished the season 4-12, fourth in the NFC East.

It makes a lot of sense for the Cowboys to stay clear of the signal caller.

Manziel checked himself into rehab prior to last season, but has had plenty of difficulty staying away from the party scene even during the Browns' forgettable season.

The former Texas A&M quarterback also had more than one alleged physical incident with his model ex-girflriend, Colleen Crowley. The last incident, on Jan. 29, led to Crowley claiming Manziel hit her so hard she lost hearing in her left ear.

The case between Manziel and Crowley is set to be heard before a grand jury. Though Jones has always had an affinity for the quarterback, he said last month that his main concern was on Manziel's well-being -- which is likely what has led to the Cowboys owner growing weary of signing him.

"What's got to get out of my mind is my concern for him, just his well-being," Jones told Peter King of Sports Illustrated in a recent interview. "Anybody should be rooting for and concerned about him getting his life together."

Thus far, Manziel has shown an inability to get his life together, which is why it's smart of the Cowboys to steer clear of him.
