The "Demon from Death Valley" may have taken his last ride.
The Undertaker has had a legendary career in the WWE, but it could be winding down. "The Deadman" hasn't been seen on WWE television since he defeated Shane McMahon inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 32 on April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
Following the match, there were rumors that 'Taker told people at the WrestleMania after party that it was his last bout and he'll be announcing his retirement. While this sort of speculation follows "The Deadman" around after every WrestleMania, the latest move by the WWE could be a sign that it's true.
The wrestling legend was recently pulled from the European tour the WWE is set to go on and was replaced by Kane, according to F4WOnline.com. When the retirement rumors first surfaced, they appeared to be false due to 'Taker still being announced for the tour. Now, it seems that maybe there was a wrinkle of truth to them.
'Taker being pulled from the shows could just be a sign that he needs to recover from WrestleMania, but for now there is a lot of speculation swirling about his career. It was always believed he'd battle Sting once "The Vigilante" made it to the WWE, but with the face of WCW announcing his retirement at the Hall of Fame ceremony, that dream bout will never occur.
The Undertaker is still advertised to team with Kane on April 19 and 20 at events in London and Newcastle, England, but it's likely he'll be replaced on those events as well. Originally, he was scheduled to team with Big Show to battle Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, but Harper is currently out with an injury.
It's likely that Kane will now team with Big Show to take on the team of Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman since it's doubtful The Undertaker will appear, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com.
For now, it's unknown what the future holds for The Undertaker, but this latest turn of events is certain to ratchet up the rumors that he's leaving the WWE for good.
