Hamza Abdullah Twitter Rant: Ex-NFL Player Tweets [PHOTOS] Profanity About NFL Treating Players Like 'Slaves'

Former NFL defensive back Hamza Abdullah took to Twitter to blast the league in an expletive-riddled series of tweets directed at commisioner Roger Goodell and the league, claiming that they haven't done enough to ensure players' well-being.

Abdullah sent out dozens of tweets which including his insisting that Goodell would "sell his soul for a dollar" while he also said that the league should pay for psychiatric evaluations of its players and that the league "treats its players like slaves." He called the NFL Combine a "slave trade" where players are stripped of their "manhood."

Abdullah's brother, Husain Abdullah, is a current defensive back for the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs.

Abdullah went on via his verified social media account:

"Every time I go to sleep, I pray that Allah takes care of my family, just in case I don't wake up," he tweeted. "And quietly, I'm disappointed sometimes when I do wake up."

According to ESPN, the brothers both walked away from football last year to make a pilgrimage to Mecca, which is a pilgrimage that all practicing Muslims are supposed to make once in their lifetime. Husain then signed with the Chiefs this past offseason and has been a key part of their defense.

Hamza tweeted:

Hamza Abdullah went on to say that the NFL should have to pay for all of the psychiatric visits for its players while adding explatives. His full NSFW twitter rant can be viewed here.

Hamza Abdullah is not on an NFL roster currently after spending over three seasons with the Denver Broncos and three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. Hamza eventually apologized for cursing:

ESPN reports that NFL spokesman Greg Aiello responded to the tweets.

"Our Player Engagement staff has reached out to him to see if we can be of assistance," he told ESPN.

After starting his rant against "fake Muslims" Thursday morning, he turned his direction towards Goodell and the league, saying that the NFL is "lying to these people and denying the fact that football causes brain damage."

He went on, admitting that the players did know the risk when going to play the game. "Every player understood the risks of playing football, and we did it, and would do it over again," he said, "just thought/assumed we would be taken care of after we were done."

The rant came on the heels of a documentary entitled "League of Denial" that reported that the NFL ignored medical reports for decades that linked the game to concussions, according to ESPN.

Abdullah changed his Twitter picture to "League of Denial" after the rant.
