Serena Williams Boyfriend: Missing Alexis Ohanian May Have Led To Tennis Star Eating Dog Food [VIDEO]

Being a tennis star means you get to travel the world and experience different things, but Serena Williams learned the hard way that some experiences are best left alone.

Williams is in Rome with her dog, Chip, for the Internazionali BNL d'Italia tennis tournament, and became intrigued by the pet menu that was being offered at her hotel. Perhaps, she was a little too intrigued.

The tennis sensation ordered a salmon and rice dish for her pup and decided to try some for herself. As she recounted, it was a huge mistake.

"I'm like, 'What the heck, I'm going to try a piece,'" she said on Snapchat, which was captured by TMZ. "It looks good. So I ate a spoonful. Don't judge me! I ate a spoonful."

That spoonful proved to be a handful as Williams stomach was victimized by her curious appetite.

"So now I feel really sick. It was just a spoonful," she said. "I am on the struggle boat."

One place Williams hasn't struggled at is the tournament she's currently playing in. She's won it in two of the last three years.

Perhaps loneliness of being in a foreign country led to the tennis star's decision-making when it comes to dog food.

Williams has been linked romantically to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. Earlier this year at the Australian Open, she discussed how lonely she felt. Though Italy isn't quite as far from home as the land down under, perhaps Williams is feeling the effects again.

"I have been spending a lot of time learning about myself this trip," Williams said in January, according to The Guardian. "It's been kind of sad. I have been, like, alone a lot. It's been kind of like boring. I think I hate being by myself. As much as I always want to be alone, I don't think I like it so much. It's just been ... it's been long. I feel like I have been here for three months."

Williams has remained low-key about her relationship, but Ohanian probably owes her a decent meal after this ordeal.
