Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Kobe Bryant Turns Down Post-NBA Gig After Retirement [VIDEO]

Now that his on-court career is over, the world is awaiting Kobe Bryant's next move.

The five-time NBA champion hung up his jersey after the 2015-16 season, ending a highly-decorated career. So what's next for Bryant? Apparently not a job on television.

Bryant was offered a role alongside Shaq, Charles Barkley and others on TNT's "Inside the NBA," but when asked if he planned on taking it, the Black Mamba didn't hesitate to answer.

"No," he told TMZ Sports on Wednesday in Beverly Hills.

It's unknown why Bryant isn't interested in the job, but many people have wondered what his next move would be. Broadcasting and coaching have been popular rumors, but it seems he's content to just enjoy retirement right now.

Bryant does however have some plans going forward. The 18-time NBA All-Star revealed he still intends to train Shaq's son, Shareef O'Neal, during the summer.

The former No. 13 overall draft pick's career ended without the sixth NBA title he was hunting down. The Lakers had three straight forgettable years as Bryant walked away from the game, setting franchise lows for wins throughout the last three campaigns.

The Lakers closed out the 2015-16 season with a 17-65 record, but Bryant didn't go quietly. The future NBA Hall of Famer put up a record 50 shot attempts and 60 points in his farewell game as the Lakers defeated the Jazz, 101-96, on April 13.

Bryant, the 2008 NBA MVP, addressed the crowd at Staples Center after ending his career with a bang last month.

"I can't believe how fast 20 years went by. Man, this is crazy," Bryant said on the microphone after addressing the Los Angeles crowd following his final game, according to ESPN. "This is absolutely crazy ... and to be standing at center court with you guys, my teammates behind me, appreciating the journey that we've been on -- we've been through our ups, been through our downs. I think the most important part is we all stayed together throughout."

Now, the world awaits his next move.
