A swift change is coming when the WWE presents NXT Takeover: The End live from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Fla., on Wednesday night.
As the name implies, it's the end of an era for NXT as many of its Superstars have already been called up to the main roster and with the "RAW" and "SmackDown" brand extension looming, many more should follow.
This show is headlined by an NXT Championship match pitting the title-holder Samoa Joe against Finn Balor inside a Steel Cage. Joe shockingly unseated Balor as the champion at a house show in Lowell, Mass. on April 21. This will mark the first Steel Cage match in NXT history.
Two other titles will be decided at the show as American Alpha puts their NXT Tag Team Championships on the line against The Revival and Asuka defends her NXT Women's Championship against Nia Jax.
Chad Gable and Jason Jordan knocked off Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder to capture the gold at NXT Takeover: Dallas on April 1, two nights before WrestleMania 32. Asuka also defeated Bailey that night and will now face Jax.
In other action, Andrade "Cien" Almas will go head-to-head with Tye Dillinger, while Shinsuke Nakamura does battle with Austin Aries.
With many changes happening in WWE, this could be the end of an era for NXT.
