Lamar Odom will not face charges stemming from a violent dispute he had with photographers in Los Angeles that ended up with him smashing several pieces of expensive equipment.
According to TMZ, Odom and his attorney, Shawn Holley, met with authorities from the L.A. City Attorney's office on Monday and learned prosecutors will not seek criminal charges of vandalism against the NBA veteran forward.
Instead, Odom, 33, will be required to seek counseling for anger management and stay out of trouble for at least a year. Odom, who will also be required to pay for all damages, was also instructed that if he breaks the law within the next year criminal charges from the initial case will also be refiled.
TMZ reports things overall have been looking up for Odom of late, as he now claims to have been drug free for several weeks and intent on jumpstarting his NBA career. Odom, who spent last season with the L.A. Clippers, recently met with officials from the Lakers front office and is hopeful he may soon have the chance to rejoin the team.
For the time in months, Odom was also recently seen out in public with his reality TV wife Khloe Kardashian. The two were spotted at Staples Center, sitting side-by-side, as they attended a Kanye West concert.
