Kordell Stewart says his wife's claims are not real.
The former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback empathically refuted claims by his wife, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member Porsha Stewart that he is gay.
Kordell Stewart filed for divorce via Twitter during last season's finale, according to UPI.com. Then on this season's premiere, Porsha announced that Kordell's reason for divorce is that he is a homosexual.
According to S2Smagazine.com, Kordell Stewart appeared on the Ryan Cameron Morning Show on the local CBS radio affiliate in Atlanta and shredded Porsha's claims.
"I promise you on my life in everything that I'm part of, including my son and my father who's no longer here, that that has never happened nor will anything ever come up, ever come up, with no dude about me and nothing," Stewart said.
UPI.com reported that during the season premiere of "Real Housewives" on Sunday, Porsha said, "There were definitely times in the marriage that Kordell didn't necessarily want me, physically, and that made me wonder, what does he want?"
Kordell fired back, saying that Porsha was staying out 'til 3 or 4 in the morning at times, and his son, from a previous relationship, would repeatedly ask when his (step)mom would be home.
"When my son asked me these few times, I have to figure out how do I make him understand what's going on," Kordell said. "He doesn't deserve to have to deal with that when there are two parents at home. If anything, we should be eating dinner together, finding a way to get it done or making sure that when the kid goes to bed that you go in there and check on the kid. Kiss him goodnight, even if it's three in the morning."
S2Smagazine reported that Kordell said he didn't want to file for divorce and suggested that Porsha asked to end the marriage.
"When your wife look you in your face and tell you to file for divorce and the only reason she's not filing is because she don't have the money and she don't have nothing to lose...are you kidding me?" he said on the radio.
Stewart played 11 seasons in the NFL, eight with the Steelers, where he earned the nickname "Slash" for his ability to pass, run and catch the football. He threw for 14,746 yards and ran for 2,874, according to NFL.com.
