Derek Jeter, Hannah Davis Engagement Update: Wedding Not Slated For This Weekend After All [PHOTO, VIDEO]

Derek Jeter is still a bachelor ... for now.

There were reports going around earlier this summer that the former Yankees shortstop and captain planned to marry model Hannah Davis over Fourth of July weekend. Now, it seems those reports are premature.

Reports flowed in that the happy couple was set to marry in Napa Valley on July 2, but it turns out that isn't the case at all. Jeter was even spotted in Tampa at what seems to be his favorite spot, Starbucks, and didn't look like he was preparing for a wedding this weekend.

Jeter was recently spotted out on a golf outing with his former teammate Jorge Posada on the same weekend Hannah Davis and her friends tore up Miami for her bachelorette party, staying out until 3 a.m.

Sources close to the couple revealed their plans to marry this weekend, but it seems they were off on the timing.

When they do get hitched, however, it'll be a small affair.

"Derek and Hannah planned to marry in a beautiful location, surrounded by just close family and friends," a source told Page Six. "It is going to be an intimate ceremony, rather than a big affair with all the Yankees and every big name in sports."

Davis has described herself as a "chill" bride and doesn't intend on freaking out over the little things, which is likely why their wedding will be intimate and private.

"I'm chill," Davis told Health.com about her attitude being a bride in March. "I just want it to be a fun day, not all the fuss. I don't want to go overboard -- it's not about the place settings. I won't get stressed-out about that, 'cause I could just care less."

Much like Jeter's love life during his playing career, the Sports Illustrated model enjoys keeping things low key.

"I feel like I have to share every other part of my life," Davis said in the March issue of Maxim Magazine. "It's that one part that's a little bit of a mystery to people, but that's the way we want it. The only way to protect it is not to talk about it."

Sources close to the couple also told Page Six that they intended to honeymoon in Europe for three weeks and that it was likely they would start a family right away.

When will they get married? That's anyone's guess at this point.
