CM Punk has another hater to combat with ahead of his UFC debut.

The wrestler-turned-MMA star has a lot of detractors, but after myriad setbacks he's set to fight Mickey Gall at UFC 203 on Sept. 10 in Cleveland. Many people in the MMA realm haven't been taking the "Best in the World" seriously because of his wrestling background and lack of MMA experience at age 37.

Lorenz Larkin could now be added to that list as the fighter blasted Punk as he attempts to make it in the UFC this September.

"I would hope that he loses," Larkin said via TMZ Sports.. "I mean, the thing is, I can't just go and be like, 'Hey I wanna be on the f--king Baltimore Ravens, I wanna be on the Patriots.' I can't just jump on and be like I'm gonna play football and I'm gonna be in the NFL. So, I feel like the same kind of thing, you can't just jump in."

Larkin also added that he doesn't believe it would be good for the UFC if Punk were to win.

"We're supposed to be like the cream of the crop," Larkin said. "We're supposed to be like the NFL of fighting. So no normal guy can just jump on and be on an NFL team so what the hell's the difference. He's never fought a day in his life. If I go [over to WWE], I'm gonna suck, so vice versa, if he comes over here, he's gonna suck."

As for a potential bout with Punk down the road, Larkin scoffed at what would happen.

"Say if he does win, what's gonna happen after that?" Larkin said. "I don't htink the UFC has enough insurance to cover that fight if I was to fight him. That's like me going head's up with Marshawn Lynch with pads on. He's gonna run me over, cause I don't play football."

Punk walked out on the WWE back in January 2014 amid his myriad frustrations with the company. He then signed with UFC that December, but had several setbacks prior to his debut, which most recently includes undergoing back surgery.
