Dallas Cowboys Rumors: Ezekiel Elliott Accuser Takes Domestic Violence Case To City Prosecutor [VIDEO]

The issues between Ezekiel Elliott and his domestic violence accuser are far from over.

An unidentified woman who alleged she's Elliott's girlfriend ecently claimed that the Cowboys running back struck her while they were sitting in her car during an argument. Elliott has denied the allegations and witnesses at the scene have said it didn't happen.

That hasn't stopped the woman from going forward with her accusations against the former Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year.

The woman has taken the case to the city prosecutor and a full investigation has been launched, according to TMZ Sports. Elliott wasn't arrested after the cops said there wasn't enough evidence to prove it happened, while four people claimed there wasn't any type of physical altercation.

"I can assure you [the allegations] are not true," a source told TMZ Sports when the claims first came to light.

The woman was told her only course of action would be to go to the city prosecutor, which is what she did. Elliott's ex-girlfriend reportedly doesn't plan on dropping the case anytime soon.

"We currently have an open investigation," a rep for the Columbus City Attorney told TMZ Sports. "We are collecting as much evidence as possible. Once the investigation is complete, our office will determine if there is sufficient evidence to establish probable cause. Basically, whether there is enough evidence to charge him or not."

Elliott has denied hitting the woman and also refuted her claims that they lived together at one point. The running back also tweeted "evil NEVER prevails."

The Cowboys drafted Elliott with the No. 4 overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. The team is set to open up their season on Sept. 11 when they host the rival Giants.

The running back was also the center of controversy among his new Cowboys fans earlier this season. Elliott, a St. Louis native, shared his excitement on Twitter when his Blues knocked out the Stars in seven games in Round 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs, drawing the ire of many Dallas-area fans.
