Lamar Odom survived a near-fatal overdose last October, but his behavior in New York City as of late has plenty of people fearing a worse fate could await him -- including his children.
A fed up Khloe Kardashian has already proceeded with a divorce from the fallen two-time NBA champion, while she also opted to kick him out of the home she rented for him in California, with rumors swirling that her discovery of drug paraphernalia in the house led to the decision.
Kardashian isn't the only person concerned with Odom out of love. The ex-NBA star's children, Lamar Jr. and Destiny, reportedly are very worried for their father's long-term health.
"They are so upset," a source told Us Weekly. "[Odom] says he is not going back to Los Angeles. He wants to rebuild his life in New York - but that's not really happening."
Reports have surfaced over the last few months that Odom has been hitting up strip clubs in the Big Apple, drinking way too much for a man who nearly died from his demons and is also reportedly back on drugs.
Family members have tried to help Odom and are hoping to get him into the Darryl Strawberry Recovery Center in Florida, but whether or not Odom is willing to get the help that he needs remains to be seen.
"The kids really wanted the intervention to happen," a source told the publication. "Everyone wants Lamar to get help."
Prior to getting to New York, Odom was reportedly kicked off his flight for being too drunk.
Kardashian was set to divorce Odom years ago, but she paused the proceedings after his near-fatal overdose at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada. The move was made so the reality star could help Odom emotionally and financially while he recovered and so she could also make medical decisions for him.
Odom made a miraculous recovery, but his drinking and drug use caused Kardashian to once again push for an end to their marriage.
Kardashian, 32, filed for divorce from Odom, 36, on May 26. The reality star also has a strong desire to have kids -- which may have been another motivating factor for the split.
After filing for divorce, Kardashian decided to kick Odom out of his home due to his issues with drugs and alcohol. He was then said to be moving from home to home with different friends as he searched for a new house.
Now, everyone is worried for Odom's health and well-being and hope they can get him help before it's too late.
