The Mariners and Cubs are set to play he rubber match of their series live from Wrigley Field in Chicago on the eve of the MLB trade deadline.
These two teams will mix it up in interleague action at the Friendly Confines as part of ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball."
Chicago dominated Game 1 of this series, handing Seattle a 12-1 drubbing on Friday. The Mariners avenged the loss in Game 2 on Saturday, handing a sloppy Cubs unit a 4-1 defeat.
The Cubs enter play Sunday in first place in the NL Central, owning a 6.5-game lead over the Cardinals in the divison. The Mariners, meanwhile, are third in the NL West, 7.5 games behind the first-place Rangers. Seattle is also four games behind Boston for the final AL Wild Card spot and has Houston and Detroit in front of it.
