Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Dallas Stars (7-6-2, 16 points) and the Detroit Red Wings (9-5-2, 20 points) hit the ice at Joe Louis Arena for the first of two meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Dallas fans can listen in on all the action on the radio at 105.3 The Fan while Detroit fans can do the same on 97.1 The Ticket.

Dallas enters this game in sixth place in the Central Division, eight points behind the division-leading Colorado Avalanche and sits at 11th in the Western Conference while Detroit is fourth in the Eastern Conference and is tied in points with the first-place Tampa Bay Lightning in the Atlantic Division, but has one more loss and one less win.

Detroit returns home after going 3-0-1 on a four-game road trip through western Canada that saw the Red Wings lose 4-2 to the Winnipeg Jets Monday night.

"They played better than we did," coach Mike Babcock said Monday, according to NHL.com. "I think from start to finish they were the better team. We didn't look like we had much energy. We didn't skate well. We didn't execute well."

Tyler Seguin and Rich Peverley returned to Boston to face the Bruins for the first time since being traded to the Stars this past Tuesday, and both scored in the shootout to lift Dallas to a 3-2 victory.

"Obviously, it's a great game to win. It will be nice to move on a little bit," Seguin said via NHL.com. "This has been in my head a little bit. You try and put it away when you are playing other games, but it's still there. You are still thinking about coming here to this town. Like I said, the win felt great."

Seguin has led Dallas this season with 15 points on a team-high six goals and nine assists, while Jamie Benn has five goals and nine assists for 14 points and Alex Chiasson has lit the lamp five times and added five helpers for 10 points.

Detroit has been paced by Pavel Datsyuk, who has 16 points on six goals and ten assists while netting a goal and three assists in the past three games while Henrik Zetterberg has eight tallies and seven helpers for 15 points while Daniel Alfredsson (3-10-13) and Niklas Kronwall (1-9-10) have also been solid for the Red Wings.

In net, Detroit has gone with Jimmy Howard for 12 of 17 games, and he's gone 5-5-2 with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage while Dallas has turned to Kari Lehtonen in 10 of their 16 games and he is 6-2-2 with a 1.93 GAA and a .937 save percentage.

The Stars will look to keep it going after beating Boston Tuesday while the Red Wings come home and look for some success after a solid road trip when the lights come on at Joe Louis Arena tonight in Detroit.
