Tom Brady may be suspended for the first four games of the NFL season, but his wife is helping him keep his head in the game.
The Patriots quarterback begrudgingly accepted his four-game Deflategate suspension after fighting the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell tooth-and-nail over it in appeals court.
After Brady suffered something he rarely does on the gridiron -- a loss -- in his multiple appeals, he announced he would accept the four-game ban via his Facebook page in July.
Though Brady.won't suit-up under center when the Patriots open up their schedule under the bright lights of "Sunday Night Football" for Week 1 action against the Cardinals, his wife is keeping him ready. Model Gisele Bundchen posted a picture on Instagram of Brady heaving passes to her and vowed she'd keep him ready in his absence:

In Brady's stead, Jimmy Garoppolo takes the reins to the offense Sunday night after throwing only four passes last year and completing just one. He'll also be the signal-caller when the Patriots host the Dolphins, Texans and Bills in Weeks 2-4. Brady will return against the Steelers on Oct. 23.
Garoppolo, 24, was drafted out of Eastern Illinois in the second round (No. 62 overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. He owns a 64.5 completion percentage in 11 NFL games in his career -- five of which occurred last season -- and has thrown for 188 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions.
Brady's absence won't be the only interesting storyline to Sunday's game as Garoppolo and the Patriots will have to deal with outside linebacker Chandler Jones, whom they dealt to Arizona this offseason, in Week 1.
As for Brady and Bundchen, they appeared to be on rocky terms when divorce rumors popped up, but this post lays credence to Brady recently downplaying any issues between them. The couple also recently purchased a New York City apartment overlooking Manhattan that costs over $20 million.
The quarterback spoke glowingly about his wife after she took part in the Opening Ceremonies of the Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics last month.
"It was amazing to see her out there and do that," Brady said, according to TheScore.com. "It was the best part of the Olympics for me. ..."It's pretty amazing, she's an amazing woman, an amazing mother, and she represents the best of Brazil, as far as I'm concerned. It was a pretty amazing spectacle and she's an amazing person."
