Los Angeles Lakers News: Jordan Clarkson Fined US$15000 For Hit To The Head Of Goran Dragic

LOS Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson has been fined US$15,000 (around P740, 000) for his altercation with Miami Heat guard Goran Dragic, NBA announced on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time).

Jordan Clarkson was fined US$15,000, for throwing a forearm to Miami Heat guard Goran Dragic, NBA said. During the Lakers-Heat game at Staples Center last Friday and it was announced by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, and Basketball Operations.

When Dragic switched on me, he kind of elbowed me in the stomach a little bit and then I kind shoved him a little bit out of the lane, Clarkson said after the game. He came back and kind of chunked like an elbow in my chest and then I pushed him as well.

Both players Jordan Clarkson and Goran Dragic were pushing to each other on the court during play before Clarkson sent Dragic to the floor with a forearm push. Jordan Clarkson and Goran Dragic were ejected from the Lakers' 127-100 win over the Heat on Friday. He was the aggressor and I got ejected, told to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra was livid at Goran Dragic's ejection.

"But it was really shameful that Goran Dragic was thrown out of the game," Spoelstra said. Gets an elbow to his face and somebody wants to fight, knock him down on the ground and disgraceful ejection.

The Lakers had some concern that the incident could lead to consequences in another game for Clarkson, but no suspension has came. I thought it was going to be worse to be honest with you, according to Spin.

Jordan Clarkson said that he was also issued a warning by the league. Just kind of one of those warning things, Clarkson said. It was my first one. Just something I've got to deal with.
