Google Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2 Likely To Hit Market Q4 2017 Packed With Snapdragon 835, Daydream View Compatibility Features

Google arrived with an amazing smartphone last year. Pixel and Pixel XL were the smartphones that roared the tech market heading parallel with the Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Currently, speculations are made that the tech giant will bring two new phones known as the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2.

Recent reports hitting the internet also indicate the possible specifications and features that will be loaded in the upcoming smartphones of Google. The Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones are expected to hit the tech market by Q4 of this year. 

According to Tech Times, analysts suggests that despite HTC's plans of arriving with a new smartphone, Google's strategic partnership with HTC will continue with the developments of new smartphones Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2.

The report also suggests that Google will introduce dust resistance and water resistance features in Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. These features were not available in the current Pixel smartphones.

According to International Business Times, Google is anticipated to provide a 2K display for the Pixel XL 2 and the Pixel 2. It is also reported that the Pixel 2 is expected to enter the tech market with a 5-inch screen and may get upgrades to the 2,560 x 1,440 QHD resolution boasted by the Pixel XL.

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are expected to have Snapdragon 835 built using 10nm processor technology. It is reported that the new processor will be seen in top-class flagship devices of this year including the Note 8 and S8 devices. This new processor enhances better performance and battery life than existing processors.

Speculations are made that Google will increase the RAM in the Pixel series devices from 4GB to 6GB to support added functionalities, more powerful specs and the best and newly released Android OS.

Also, reports suggest that the new Pixel 2 series is expected to have a dual camera set up similar to that of Apple, Huawei and other smartphones. The Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones are expected to be compatible with the new Daydream View headset, which will be launched this year. The Daydream View headset might have advanced VR capabilities with a special focus on VR gaming.
