Nintendo Switch: Pre-orders Starts Today; 6 US Cities To Have Demo Before Official Release

Nintendo Switch has landed into the tech market. Nintendo has officially announced Nintendo Switch in a live-streamed presentation. Nintendo has brought an amazing thing o the enthusiasts; the company announces that the Nintendo Switch will be the first region free system.

Nintendo Switch is reported to have an official release date on March 3, 2017, and this date is said to be a worldwide launch and Nintendo Switch games won't be having any region lock.

According to CNET, Nintendo is offering paid online for its console and pricing plan for the online multiplayer hasn't been revealed yet. Nintendo Switch is a device which can be played in both handhelds as well as console mode. The battery life is estimated to last around 2.5 hours to 6 hours depending on the type of game and the device has a price tag of $299.99.

Where to buy?

Nintendo Switch is currently available for pre-orders on January 13, 2017, at 9 a.m. ET in the Nintendo Store in New York City. Nintendo tweet shows that a limited quantity of pre-orders is available.

However, Nintendo Switch will be in the hands of customers only on March 3, 2017. It is reported that Nintendo Switch will come in grey or a more colorful option that comes with neon blue and neon red Joy Con controllers.

Also, enthusiasts can sign up to get preorder notifications at GameStopAmazon and Target. Also, Walmart and BestBuy may be offering preorders, but there's no word yet on when or if they will be sending out notifications.

It is also reported that Nintendo will be available for demo in six US cities on the following dates as mentioned below. And keep a note that the first two days are for invite-only and each Sunday is free and open to the public.

New York: January 13-15

Toronto: January 27-29

Washington D.C.: February 10-12

Chicago: February 17-19

San Francisco: February 24-26

Los Angeles: March 3-5
