Wrestlemania 33: John Cena Vs The Undertaker Not Happening

John Cena Vs. Undertaker match which was making the headlines from last few days has been put to an end. As reported in last week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter by Dave Meltzer, John Cena Vs. Undertaker would not be happening this year at Wrestlemania 33.

Speculations were that these both superstars will be facing each other at the biggest WWE event with a championship on the line. But Vince McMahon had some different plans and so the match was cancelled as reported in whatculture.

Here is what Meltzer said, "There have been some changes made in WrestleMania plans as noted in recent weeks, with the major thing being that the proposed Undertaker vs. John Cena match is off the boards. Vince McMahon changed his mind on the match, which was to be one of the two biggest matches in 2016, and at one point one of the top matches for the 4/2 show in Orlando."

Talking further about The Undertaker he added, "Undertaker right now is not scheduled to challenge for either title on the show. He did appear on the 1/9 Raw show, after first arriving on Smackdown, because when he was on Smackdown, it was to build for him to face Cena. Now he will face someone on the Raw roster. There was a tease of Braun Strowman on Raw, but it will not be Strowman as things stand right now."

As of now the three main events which have been announced to take place are Brock Lesnar Vs. Bill Goldberg, Triple H Vs. Seth Rollins and Shaquille O'Neal Vs. Big Show. A match between Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens might also take place but the decision is yet to be taken as both are holding titles as reported in tjrwrestling.

Other WWE superstars who will be fighting without any title matches are Roman Reigns, John Cena, AJ Styles, and Finn Balor. For Women's title match the current Champion Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Nia Jax.
