NFL Denies Stopping Lady Gaga From Speaking About US Politics Ahead Of Super Bowl Performance

The recent questions were raised whether Lady Gaga was under a Gag order imposed by the NFL, the answer was given by the league and it was a no, denying reports that the pop star was ordered not to discuss about politics ahead of her performance at halftime of this year's Super Bowl.

A source close to hafltime show stated that Lady Gaga was told by the NFL that she cannot say anything or bring anything up about the election, or even mention the name of US President Donald Trump.

However, later NFL issued a statement calling that an unsourced nonsense from people trying to stir up controversy where there is peace, The New York Times reported.

Gaga was outspoken in disdain for Trump while supporting for Hillary Clinton during the US Presidential Election race. She spoke at a Clinton rally just prior to the Election day, and the day after voting concluded. She also held a sign outside the Trump Tower which said "Love trumps hate."

Several other reports have arrived saying that Gaga was having trouble getting a guest to sign on and perform during her halftime show, with already two artists declining the prospect. The Super Bowl Halftime show is a major event even for the biggest of the musical superstars, given the fact that the game most-watched TV show of the year.

According to RollingStones, Gaga presented favourable reviews for her rendition of the National Anthem before the last year's Super Bowl event, even if there was a gambling-related dispute as to how long does it lasted. The Halftime show featured Beyonce, who was criticized by some, for her nod to the Black Panthers.

That kind of reaction could have caused the NFL to be concerned about what Lady Gaga might possibly do before or during the Halftime show. Despite its denial of attempting to deter her, the league may have been sending a message by saying, "The Super Bowl is a time when people really come together."
