WWE News: Shawn Michaels Denies Plans To Return To WWE

Shawn Michaels has quit the WWE arena 7 years ago but is still very popular amongst his fans. Recently there was news around about Shawn Michaels thinking to make a comeback. But any such rumours were denied the by the WWE Hall of Famer when he spoke to ESPN.com's Brian Campbell as reported in Wrestlezone.

When Shawn Michael's was asked about his plans to return he said, "I'm going to hurt my greatness over the years because I don't continue to hint and bait, and make people anticipate, or milk it and put everything over, but there is no itch to scratch. I'm one of those people who would be OK with fading back into the background a little bit."

Shawn Michaels has retired from Wrestling in the year 2010. He has been four-time world champion and also two times Royal Rumble winner.

Shawn Michael spoke about Vince McMahon and his DX member Triple H whom he refers as Hunter saying that it's funny because they are the one's who make decisions and none of them has approached Shawn in last seven years.

Last year AJ Styles tweeted a photo with Shawn Michaels to faceoff at Royal Rumble as reported in Forbes. On this issue of the photoshopped poster by AJ Styles, Shawn Michaels said that that he's a bright young man and he knows what works well inside and outside the ring very well.

"I have no doubt that LeBron James would've loved to have played against Michael Jordan but that simply is not going to happen. But I've got to tell you that I appreciate the free press. I'm a guy that has absolutely no problem flying under the radar and not being talked about. My name has been out there for the last three months thanks to him doing that," said Shawn Michaels.

He also talked about the NXT Champion Samoa Joe and said he looks at him and his stuff at NXT and thinks he could have enjoyed with him inside the ring.

"We have contrasting styles. I get that everybody wants to see me and AJ or Seth or Dolph. From my standpoint, I think really telling a great story out there. I could do it with a guy like Samoa Joe. His stuff looks really good, and sometimes he just looks like he's beating the tar out of somebody," he added.

So, the fans who were expecting to see "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels in the ring once more will be disappointed. But fans can hope they get to see him not fighting but just being present at Royal Rumble.
