Android 7.0 Nougat: Top 5 Features Which Make The Update Irresistible

Android 7.0 Nougat update is there for many smartphone models and others will receive it soon. Google released many new features for both smartphones and its users.

Here are top 5 features of Android Nougat which will definitely make android users more curious to get the update.

1. Instant Apps

As written in CNET, on Monday, Google said some of the first Instant Apps are now available to Android users in a limited test. Generally, the user needs to download and install the app first to use it. With Instant Apps, the user can run the app just like loading a web page.

Currently, Instant Apps available are BuzzFeed, Wish, Periscope and Viki. For developers, Google will provide Software Development Kit (SDK) later this year.

2. Multi-window App Support (Split-screen)

Some smartphones already have this feature while others don't. Now, every device can take full advantage of its big screen by using multiple apps on a single screen. As written in Forbes, not all apps support split-screen mode yet but most do.

3. Doze Mode to improve Battery Life

Google introduced 'Doze' feature in Android 6.0 Marshmallow but now its improved mode is launched in Android 7.0 Nougat. Doze Mode was introduced to save device's battery life and when a screen is off and the phone is not moving, it would burn less battery.

However, there was a loop hole because if the phone is in pocket and person is moving than that did not work. So, with the new feature, it will work even when the phone is in motion or anytime the display is off. Android Nougat is Project Svelte, which stops app to work in background every time network connection status changes.

4. Virtual Reality

Different companies are building separate VR platforms and there are some incompatibility issues which can affect the VR market. Google made an effort to unify the mobile VR experience and created the Daydream hardware and software platform for Virtual Reality.

5. Faster System Updates

Google is making system updates run faster in the background on Android device. With Android Nougat OS, install time will be quicker and update file size will be smaller.

People who like Android 6.0 Marshmallow will mostly like Android 7.0 Nougat even more. Along with these, there are many other features to explore. This is some of the insights what new Google's OS has to offer its Android users with the latest OS.
