John Cena Defeats AJ Styles For the WWE World Championship In Royal Rumble 2017

This was the huge and exciting moment for the fans when the best match of the night took place between two Smackdown Live superstars which undoubtedly delivered a master class in wrestling. John Cena and AJ Styles competed in the 2017 Royal Rumble.

According to SB Nation, it was John Cena who defeated AJ Styles and came out on the top winning the incredible match and he is going for Ric Flair's WWE title record. The battle was tightly contested as both the wrestlers were equal at their fighting skills.

After defeating AJ Styles, John Cena celebrated a historic "Sweet 16". This was the 16th world championship win for Cena in his career and as a result, he tied Ric Flair's WWE record of 16 world championship wins.

ESPN reports say that Styles won the WWE championship by defeating Dean Ambrose in September 2016 but his title reign got ended at just 140 days.

The match was not too easy for both fighters. Both the wrestlers continued to attempt for impressive moves but failed to finish each other off. After throwing some of the best shots, the match ended when Cena pinned Styles following by back-to-back Attitude Adjustments and captured the WWE Championship title.

At the ending phase of the match, Cena flung Styles into the corner and hit him hard with a cutter for two proceeding with the most known and devastating move - The AA from the top rope. Before the referee was able to count completely one two and three, Styles kicked out and released himself.

Finally, when AJ was making a Phenomenal Attempt, Cena was able to catch him and hit two AAs in a row. The third AA was the final AA and put the match to an end and made a history for John Cena by winning the 2017 Royal Rumble WWE Championship.
