Apple iPad Air 3: Expected To Feature A9 Processor And Launch Likely In March

Apple Inc. the Cupertino tech giant might be planning many devices for this year. Already speculations are made that Apple will arrive with iPhone 8, iPad Pro 2, iMac 2017, and Watch Series 3 devices. Recent reports suggest that Apple might be planning to hit the tech market with iPad Air 3 along with the iPad Pro models very soon, specifically in March.

According to Tech Radar, Apple launched the iPad Air 2 device in October 2016 and considering that date, it is reported that Apple might soon come with the iPad Air 3. The company is believed to be busy preparing its iPad Pro line up which is concentrated for upper-end market and for the affordable price range; Apple might bring the iPad Air line.

A well known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that a 9.7-inch iPad with an A9 processor would be released sometime this year. So, it is assumed that this prediction indicates the iPad Air 3 as the company has already come up with the advanced A10 chipset and it is believed that the iPad Pro lineup might not take the A9 chipset anymore as it is for the upper-end market and only option for A9 processor to land into the iPad Air lineup.

Despite reports indicating that a March release is imminent, there are also rumors claiming that the iPad Air 3 may be delayed well into the later part of the year. However, nothing can be determined for sure at this point.

The iPad Air 3 is expected to have a price tag lower than the iPad Pro range. It is predicted that iPad Air 3 might go for sale same as that of iPad Air 2 which currently retails for $399/£379/AU$569, for different variants.

Since Apple Inc. has not made any official statements on the iPad line-up, readers are advised to take this report with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates.
