2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB News & Update: ‘German Car-Maker’ Will Launch It’s New Generation E-Class in February

The automobile giant German car-makers, Mercedes-Benz will launch its new Mercedes-Benz E-Class with a longer wheelbase (LWB) with numerous new features on February 28, 2017, in India. Currently, Mercedes-Benz E-Class with a long wheelbase is on sale in China.

The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class with 3,079mm long wheelbase is upgraded with comprehensive exterior and interior features and will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. According to India, the interior of the new Mercedes-Benz E-class will be available in two trims, one is the Avantgarde (E200) and another one is the Exclusive (E350d). While both of these models will highlight a black or beige interior and the seat is also produced using Artico calfskin that also comes in black or beige.

Similar to the current S-Class, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB gets COMAND Online infotainment system that has a high resolution of a 12.3-inch display. And it also comes with a high-spec audio system with 13-speaker 590W Burmester audio system with a touchpad controller.

Let's Talk About Mercedes-Benz E-Class Exterior Features

 The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-class LWB comes with two powertrain engine options such as petrol and diesel. The petrol model has 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine will have an 184 Bhp and 300 Nm torque, as per Carscoops.

And the diesel model has a 3.0-liter V6 unit with a 258 Bhp and 620 Nm torque. Whereas all E-Class models will be available with the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment.

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB is also featured with a three-zone climate control system, a panoramic sunroof, reversing system with all-around cameras, electric sunblinds for rear windows, etc. For safety provision, the new E-Class is also equipped with seven airbags and the brand's Pre-safe system.

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB looks similar to the S-Class and the C-Class. Mercedes has increased the overall length (by 43mm) and wheelbase (65mm) of the new E-Class. While its width and height have been reduced by 2mm and 6mm respectively. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has also shed off 70kgs (approx.) of kerb weight.
