Kurt Angle is expected to do some wrestling in WWE very soon, reports near to the wrestler quoted saying. The reports also suggested that Kurt has to pass some medical tests and a physical test to check his body condition. It is expected though that the comeback won't be for a longer period of time.
Recently, Kurt Angle has been wrestling a lot as an independent Wrestler, although he is not associated with any substantial promotion at the moment. After leaving TNA back in March of last year, he faced off against former WWE associate wrestler Rey Mysterio at URFight, which was just a promotional fight.
Kurt Angle also wrestled Cody Rhodes for Northeast wrestling and also Zack Sabre Jr. for Revolution Pro Wrestling. The previous week at the WCPW True Destiny Show, he fought against Alberto Del Rio where he defeated El Patron via his submission move the "Angle Lock."
In the past few months, speculations have been circulated regarding Kurt Angle returning to WWE in some sort of capacity. It was then later cleared that he was inducted into the Hall Of Fame on the eve of Wrestlemania 33. However, rumors regarding him replacing Mick Foley as RAW General Manager still persists.
Angle himself stated that he is not quite done with the wrestling yet but he didn't stress whether he would wrestle for the WWE again or not. Last week, he also mentioned that he would love to wrestle AJ Styles for one last time. Now, it looks like WWE also have plans for the Olympic gold medalist to wrestle for them in the near future.
It was previously rumored that Kurt Angle will make an entry in the Royal Rumble this year. However, that couldn't go through and also a match at Wrestlemania 33 looks out of sight too. We will have to wait and see curiously as to how the WWE plans to re-introduce Kurt anytime soon.
