WWE Rumors: Mick Foley to Get Fired Soon; 3 Possible Replacement for Raw GM

Mick Foley has done a wonderful job as the general manager of Monday Night Raw since the brand extension. However, the latest WWE rumors state that Foley is getting fired soon since he will be taking time off for hip surgery.

Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon shocked the world when he announced Foley as his general manager. Many were expecting Triple H as the Raw GM but the WWE decided to give the fans a face-heel authority figure that is fresh.

However, WWE rumors have started flying everywhere about the possibility of Stephanie firing Foley very soon. As recapped by WWE.com, the two authority figures started butting heads a couple of weeks ago and it got heated this week on Raw.

According to WWE Insiders, Foley will probably get fired on Raw to write him off of television. The WWE could also just write him off by forcing him to retire and use his real-life health issues. The 51-year-old legend is set to undergo a full hip replacement surgery sometime after WrestleMania.

Now that the WWE rumors suggest that Foley is going to be ousted as Raw GM, who should replace him in the position? Here are the three potential next Raw general managers.

Triple H

If Stephanie fires Foley, it makes sense for her to give the Raw GM position to her husband Triple H. It's a logical choice for the WWE but they have already done it over and over again with The Authority. Also, WWE rumors imply that Triple H could face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 33 so he might not get involved in other storylines.

Paul Heyman

There were some WWE rumors suggesting that Heyman would be named Raw GM last year but he did not want to be on television every week. However, the WWE could easily convince "The Advocate" to be the Raw GM. He is a perfect authority figure and he can easily sell matches on Raw with his brilliance on the microphone.

Kurt Angle

The WWE already announced that Angle will headline this year's WWE Hall of Fame class. Some WWE rumors backstage also believe that the WWE is planning something big for Angle and he is going to stick around with the company after WrestleMania 33.

The perfect role for Angle is the next Raw general manager since he can longer wrestle a full-time scheduled. Fans have been waiting for him to return and what a way to return as the Raw GM and working alongside Stephanie. The two will give fans nostalgia as they were part of some memorable segments back in the Attitude Era.
