"Mass Effect: Andromeda" News And Updates: 'Game of Thrones' Star Natalie Dormer To Voice An Asari, Bioware Promises Big Things

"Game of Thrones" star Natalie Dormer is set to lend her voice in Bioware's "Mass Effect: Andromeda" in a starring role. The actress will play a 600 -year-old Asari doctor aboard the ship.

Dormer will take on the role of Lexi T'Perro who is one of the several crew members aboard the Tempest comprising in what the actress calls a "motley crew" of "Mass Effect: Andromeda." T'Perro is the Tempest's physician and psychiatrist who will guide the player and the crew across the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" universe. She will take on a similar role as Liara T'soni in the original "Mass Effect" trilogy according to the Guardian.

The Asaris are the first species in the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" universe to discover the Mass Relays which is the game's primary mode of interstellar transportation. Their knowledge of the relays make the Asaris the perfect navigator for the Tempest. The alien race imbues a sense of elegance and grace coupled with deadly combat skills; characteristics which Natalie Dormer is familiar with her past role in "Game of Thrones"

Unfortunately for Natalie Dormer, the actress admits that she doesn't play games as her schedule does not allow her. She did say that if given a chance, she would play "Mass Effect: Andromeda."

Meanwhile, Bioware promises "Mass Effect: Andromeda" to be the biggest game the company has to date. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" like its predecessors, will take place across the galaxy featuring several planets and solar systems.

However, in the past "Mass Effect" games, the planets offered a small area to be explored while some only has one area. For "Mass Effect: Andromeda," the planets will be as big as Bioware's "Dragon Age: Inquistion" according to a report on Gamespot.

Fans can expect planets the size of a full game that is filled with content and activities in "Mass Effect Andromeda." This is because Bioware assures that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will favor quality over quantity. The developers have made it a point to eliminate barren worlds that offer nothing to players.

"Mass Effect: Andromda" is slated for release on Mar 21, 2017 on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. Stay tuned for more updates.
