Andre Johnson, Matt Schaub Fight? [VIDEO]: Texans WR, QB Get Into Sideline Spat During Loss To Raiders

It's been a frustrating season thus far for the Houston Texans, and some of that frustration spilled over on the sidelines Sunday as running back Andre Johnson and quarterback Matt Schaub got into it on the sidelines during the team's 28-23 loss to the Oakland Raiders Sunday that saw Schaub leave the field and head to the locker room after being pushed away by Johnson.

The argument stemmed from Schaub's incomplete pass to Johnson in the endzone on the final play of the game, but Johnson downplayed the sideline spat after the game.

"You can see the frustration on his face, frustration on my face," Johnson said via ESPN. "I'm not worried about that. I think you all are making a big deal about it. We talked about it -- it's over with. I mean, me and Matt are fine. I have no problems with Matt. We played a lot of football together. Me and Matt have a good relationship."

Schaub had been replaced by Case Keenum for the past four games after Schaub was benched partially due to an ankle and foot injury as well as his recent string of poor performances, but it was Schaub entering Sunday to replace a healthy Keenum in the third quarter. Schaub wouldn't disclose what led to the noticeable argument.

"It's just emotions, emotions of the game, a culmination of a lot of things, but stuff we will keep between us," Schaub said, according to ESPN. "He is a great guy and a great competitor, as am I. Just the heat of the moment, but that is behind us."

Houston coach Gary Kubiak explained the quarterback switch after the game.

"We had to make a lot of changes from a protection standpoint to handle some of the things they were doing," Kubiak told ESPN. "Trying to create some tempo and do that and it made it very tough on Case, in my opinion, being a young player. I knew that Matt could get done some of the things that I wanted to get done, real fast, and to give us a chance to win the football game. So that's why I did it."

Keenum was 13-for-24 for 170 yards with a touchdown and a pick before being yanked in favor of Schaub who went 12 of 25 for 155 yards with no scores or picks.

Johnson, the first-round pick for Houston in 2003, described the season as the most frustrating campaign of his career and was asked about whether or not he's happy being on the team after the loss. The loss dropped Houston to 2-8 and gave them their franchise-worst eighth loss in a row after two straight seasons of winning the division crown.

"I'm under contract, so, I have to play my contract out," Johnson said per ESPN. "I can't do anything about that."
