Nintendo Switch: Nintendo Minute Explores 5 Unknown Things

In a special segment with Yoshiaki Koizumi, the Nintendo Switch Producer, Nintendo Minute tried to explore 5 new things which might be not known to everyone awaiting this amazing device. The Nintendo Switch device is a hybrid video-game console and was announced by the company last year and has, since then, evoked a lot of interest in the device from gamers all around the world.

It is due to be released on March 3rd of this year and will be available in a standard grey colour and a neon blue-red combo colour variant. These are the 5 unknown things which Yoshiaki Koizumi revealed in an interview with Nintendo Minute, reported Siliconera.

1. Koizumi revealed that the actual Joy-Cons were designed to be in a v- shape design in the beginning which was later changed into a parallel arrangement. The producer said that the move was taken in order to make the gameplay easier and comfortable for the user.

2.The controllers are very light and weigh around 50 grams each but the technology inside is very advanced, though it lacks the balls which used to be present in earlier devices.

3. The controllers of Nintendo Switch were named as Joy-Cons taking inspiration from the word "enjoy" and also the action of "joining" the controllers into the screen while making a switch.

4. The Joy-Cons are connected to the screen through mechanical rails which gives a satisfying snap every time it is attached. Though it was not the intention always, as Koizumi wanted to use magnets for the purpose of attachment but he changed his mind later on to provide a sturdy hold, reported GoNintendo.

5. The Joy-Cons were earlier decided to be of same colours, whether both of them blue or both of them red. It was a happy accident at the office when some one attached two different colours which looked great and the company went ahead with that combination.
